I understand that sometimes these posts can seem slanted to the male perspective. I am a man so that is the lens I view the world through. I can only tell you about the female perspective through my experiences with females. This is true in every aspect of life, so to keep a just balance I want to talk about health and fitness for women, particularly wives and mothers.
Now I must say I have trained women in the past and also created dieting and workout plans for them, but they were all single. Other than specific nutrition requirements to be in tune with female hormones and their various levels, I had no other experience with training women. Until I got married and my wife joined me in my quest for optimum health. I’ve always been a fitness fanatic, gym rat, iron addict, etc. so seeing my crazy routine was nothing new to my wife. But when it came to adjusting my routine to fit in a family and to do so in a way that would encourage them to participate, it was difficult. But I learned many lessons about the way parents, in particular, mothers have to observe the time while trying to get fit.
Wives and mothers have to work much smarter than harder to incorporate fitness and to make the time especially when the children are young. They require much more attention and the home is always in need of service. My wife follows several plans I have created for her but she also does things on her own to stay fit. Doing dancing sessions with my son make exercising easy and it can be done in just a few minutes. Additionally, she does weight training with bodyweight and dumbbells. Walking around the neighborhood often is also in her repertoire. All these culminate to help her stay in shape without having to take time away from her other responsibilities. While she has a full plate, she still manages to do all this with a beautiful spirit and smile. She had some advice for women in general but wives and mothers especially about being fit and healthy.
