Good morning, good evening, and good afternoon. Welcome to my blog about health and fitness. I’ve been interested in health and fitness since I played football in high school, and with a family to take care of, it has become even more important. After high school, my training focused mostly on bodybuilding while mixing in power lifting. However, as a very busy husband and father, I am willing to learn all that I can to help my family and friends achieve their fitness goals. Personally, I just love the sound of iron clanging as serious lifters slang around insane amounts of weight. But let’s be realistic: not every enjoys that and it’s not for every one to enjoy. But I believe everyone can enjoy getting the most out of their body. After all, it can do some pretty amazing things, so why not push it to see just how far it can go? I plan to do exactly that.
Now there are hundreds, thousands of health and fitness blogs out there all vying for your attention (and often your money). So what sets one apart from another? Which ones have valid information and which ones have outdated information, or which ones are just opinions apart from facts? What are the practical results of the cascade of “new studies show?” They are very hard to sift through, but I can tell you I definitely know how to call a spade a spade. I also never recommend anything, be it a restaurant or advice, unless I’ve tried it myself. Therefore, synthesizing copious information and condensing it into the necessary nuggets for laypeople is a specialty of mine.
As time passes and my children grow up, eventually I may be blessed with grandchildren. For me, I would love to be able to play with them without needing a cane and a ventilator. I recognize that I must start this path now if I ever want to end up there. Whether you share the same sentiment or would just like to spectate, I hope you find this blog entertaining at the least.
